1、英国演讲稿4篇easter is the most important date in thechristian calendar, and an incredibly special timefor people across britainand around the world. last month i was in jerusalem and bethlehemand i got tosee for myself the places where jesus was born and died. it was anextraordinaryexperience to be in th

2、ose places where so much history began.today, XX years on, easter is not just atime for christians across our country to reflect,but a time for our wholecountry to reflect on what christianity brings to britain. all over theuk,every day, there are countless acts of kindness carried out by those whob

3、elieve in andfollow christ. the heart of christianity is to “love thyneighbor” and millions do really live thatout. i think of the alpha coursesrun in our prisons, which work with offenders to give them anew life insideand outside prison, or the soup kitchens and homeless shelters run by

4、churches.and we saw that same spirit during the terrible storms that struck britainearlier thisyear. from somerset to surrey, from oxford to devon, churchesbecame refuges, offeringshelter and food, congregations raised funds andrallied together, parish priests even canoedthrough their villages to re

5、scueresidents. they proved, yet again, that people’s faith motivatesthem to dogood deeds.that is something this government supportsand celebrates, and it’s why we haveannounced more funding for the nearneighbours programme bringing together even morefaiths in even more cities todo social

6、 action. and as we celebrate easter, let’s also think ofthose who areunable to do so, the christians around the world who are ostracised, abused –evenmurdered – simply for the faith they follow. religious freedom is anabsolute, fundamentalhuman right.britain is committed to protect

7、ing andpromoting that right, by standing up for christiansand other minorities, athome and abroad. our hearts go out to them, especially at this specialtime ofyear. so as we approach this festival i’d like to wish everyone, christians andnon-christians a very happy easter.英国首相卡梅伦伊斯兰教斋月英语演讲稿i w

10、n, rolled their sleeves up, and went to help the families hit hardest by thiswinter's storms.ramadan is a time when that spirit comes to the fore and i am so proud when i hear, everyyear, about the millions of pounds raised for good causes for those less fortunate than us herein britain, and tho

11、se who are suffering in wars and in famines overseas.second, ramadan is a time for contemplation to fast, and to pray, and to think deeply aboutothers.this ramadan, i hope that we can reflect upon a key aspect of our shared history, the braveryof those who fought and died for our freedoms nearly 100

12、 years ago. just days after eid, we willbe marking 100 years since the first world war. more than a million men and boys from indiafought with our troops during that conflict and many thousands of them were muslims. theytravelled across the world to fight to defend our freedom, guided and sustained

13、by theirbravery, comradeship, and, above all, by their faith. their selflessness and their couragehelped to secure the liberties we all enjoy today, so this ramadan – and this centenary – wewill remember them and reflect upon their sacrifice.third, ramadan is a time for community. and th

14、ere is nothing that exemplifies this more thanthose nightly afters, when the fast is broken, the dates are opened, and all that great food isserved.last year i was delighted to see how many community iftars were taking place across thecountry, in mosques and in community centres, in parks and even i

15、n tents. again this yeargovernment is supporting the big iftar programme, with hundreds more communities, fromleeds to luton, woking to manchester, throwing open their doors, so that people of all faithsand none can break bread and get to know their neighbours.so wherever you are this holy month, le
