3、aaddedover200,000newjobsinJuly.SinceMayof2022,weveaddednearly4millionnewjobs.Theunemploymentrateisdownto5percent,belowtheaverageofthe1970s,1980sand1990s.AndmoreAmericansareworkingtodaythaneverbeforeinournationshistory.hepastyear,thehomeownershiprateinAmericahasreachedrecordlevels.Thetaxreliefstimula

5、23,andweareaheadofpacetomeetthatgoal.TocontinuecreatingjobsandtoensurethatourprosperityreacheseverycornerofAmerica,wereopeningmarketsabroadforourgoodsandservices.Thispastweek,IwasproudtosigntheCentralAmerican-DominicanRepublicFreeTradeAgreement.ThishistoricagreementwillleveltheplayingfieldforAmerica
6、sworkersandfarmers,andopenupamarketof44millioncustomersforproductsmadeintheUnitedStates.Tokeepoureconomygrowingwealsoneedaffordable,reliablesuppliesofenergy.NextweekinNewMexico,Illsignabipartisanenergybillthatencouragesconservation,expandsdomesticproductioninenvironmentallysensitiveways,diversifieso
7、urenergysupply,modernizesourelectricitygridandmakesAmericalessdependentonforeignsourcesofenergy.AndnextWednesdayinIllinois,Illsignahighwaybillthatwillimprovethesafetyofourroads,strengthenourtransportationinfrastructureandcreategoodjobs.Oureconomyisstrong,yetIwillnotbesatisfieduntileveryAmericanwhowa
8、ntstoworkcanfindajob.SothiscomingTuesdayIwillmeetwithmyeconomicteaminTexastodiscussouragendatokeeptheeconomymovingforward.AsCongressconsidersappropriationsbillsthisfall,wewillworkwiththeHouseandtheSenatetoensurethattaxpayerdollarsarespentwisely,ornotatall.Weneedtomakethetaxreliefpermanent,endthedeat
9、htaxforever,andmakeourtaxcodesimpler,fairerandmorepro-growth.WellcontinueworkingonSocialSecurityreform.SocialSecurityissoundfortodaysseniors,buttheresaholeinthesafetynetforouryoungerworkers,soIllworkwiththeCongresstostrengthenSocialSecurityforourchildrenandgrandchildren.Illcontinuetopressforlegalref
