3、re for the gravimetricdetermination of particulate matter(PM)collected from dilutedlight duty vehicle exhaust.It is applicable to mass rates from0.32 to 32 mg/km(0.2 to 20 mg/mile).1.2 Diluted exhaust is passed through pre-weighed filtermedia which is re-weighed after sampling.The difference inweigh

4、t is used to determine particulate mass,which is thenused with other data to calculate the distance specific emis-sions.1.3 The particulate materials that are measured using thistest method are generated by a vehicle following the PMstandard applicable portions of the United States Environmen-tal Pr

5、otection Agency(EPA)and California Air ResourcesBoard(CARB)driving schedules and test procedures fordetermining the emissions of light duty vehicles.For otherjurisdictions,consult regional regulations for applicability ofthese test procedures.These test procedures are referenced inAnnex A3 of this d
