16、t Method4.1 The nickel alloy probe assemblys cooling time versustemperature is determined after placing the assembly in afurnace and heating to 850C(1562F)and then quenchinginto an aqueous polymer quenchant solution.The temperatureinside the probe assembly and the cooling times are recorded atselected time intervals to establish a cooling temperatureversus time curve.The resulting cooling curve may be used toevaluate quench severity(see Note 1).NOTE1For production testing,the furnace temperature
