1、Designation:D654205(Reapproved 2010)Standard Practice forTonnage Calculation of Coal in a Stockpile1This standard is issued under the fixed designation D6542;the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or,in the case of revision, the year of last revision.A
2、 number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval.Asuperscript epsilon()indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1.Scope1.1 This practice is used to calculate the mass(commonlyexpressed in tons)of coal in a storage pile using the volume ofthe stockpile by Test M
3、ethod D6172 and the density of the coaldetermined by Test Method D6347/D6347M.1.2 This practice is applicable to all ranks of coal.1.3 The user of this standard determines when the densityvalues provided by the survey require an adjustment formoisture.1.4 The values stated in either inch-pounds or S
4、I units are tobe regarded separately as standard.Within the text, the SI unitsare shown in brackets. The values stated in each system are notexact equivalents;therefore, each system must be used inde-pendently of the other.Combining values from the two systemscan result in nonconformance with the speci
