3、the last revision or reapproval.1.Scope1.1 This test method is commonly referred to as the Se-quence VE test2and has been correlated with vehicles used instop-and-go service prior to 1988,particularly with regard tosludge and varnish formation and valve train wear.3It is one ofthe test methods requi

4、red to evaluate oils intended to satisfy theAPI SJ performance category.1.2 The values stated in either inch-pound units or SI unitsare to be regarded separately as the standard.Within the text,the SI units are shown in parentheses when combined withinch-pound units.Some of the figures and forms hav
