、Designation:D365801(Reapproved 2008)Standard Test Method forDetermining the Torque Strength of Ultraviolet(UV)Light-Cured Glass/Metal Adhesive Joints1This standard is issued under the fixed designation D3658;the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or,i
、n the case of revision, the year of last revision.A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval.Asuperscript epsilon()indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1.Scope1.1 This test method covers the simplistic comparison ofstrengths of glass/metal joints when
、 the adhesive is cured byultraviolet(UV)radiation and standard specimens are used andtested under specified conditions of preparation,radiation,andload.1.2 This test method involves torque loading UV-bondedhexagonal metal blocks to glass plates.1.3 This test method may be used to obtain comparativet
、orque strength-to-failure data for other bonded joint systems, radiation cured or not.1.4 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regardedas standard. The values given in parentheses are mathematicalconversions to SI units that are provided for information onlyand are not considered standard.1
、.5 This standard does not purport to address all of thesafety concerns,if any, associated with its use.It is theresponsibility of the user of this standard to establish appro-priate safety and health practices and determine the applica-bility of regulatory limitations prior to use.2.Referenced Docume
