7、temperature is the highest temperature to which the sealingcompound can be heated and still conform to all the require-ments specified herein.For purposes of testing as specifiedhereinafter,the pouring temperature shall be the maximumheating temperature.The maximum heating temperature shallbe set fo

8、rth by the manufacturer and shall be shown on allcontainers and shall be provided to the testing agency beforeany laboratory tests are begun(see Appendix).3.2 PenetrationAt 25 6 0.1C(77 6 0.2F),150 g,5 s:3.2.1 NonimmersedThe penetration shall not exceed 130.3.2.2 ImmersedThe penetration shall not ex

10、l developany crack,separation,or other opening in the sealing com-pound or between the sealing compound and the concreteblocks.3.4.2 Fuel-ImmersedWhen the joint sealant is fuel-immersed and tested for bond,not more than one specimen outof three shall evidence a complete cohesive failure of themateri

11、al,or the gross area of bare concrete exposed on the faceof any one concrete block shall not exceed an area of 160 mm2(14in.2).3.4.3 Water-ImmersedWhen the joint sealant is water-immersed and tested for bond,not more than one specimen outof three shall develop any cracks,separation,or other openingi

12、n the joint sealant or between the sealant and the concreteblocks.3.5 SolubilityThe dry weight of material shall not varymore than 6 2.0%,and there shall be no defects that willaffect the material as a joint sealant.4.General Requirements4.1 The joint sealant shall be composed of a mixture ofmateria

13、ls with or without rubber that will form an adhesivecompound resistant to the solvent actions of jet fuels andlubricating oils.The joint sealant shall effectively seal cracksand joints in pavements against the infiltration of moisture andjet fuel throughout repeated cycles of expansion and contrac-t

14、ion and shall not flow from the joint or be picked up by vehicletires.The joint sealant shall have a uniform pouring consis-tency suitable for completely filling the joints without inclusionof large air holes or discontinuities.The pouring temperaturesshall not exceed 230C(450F).The pouring temperat
