8、ocedureNOTE2If the percent of pigment is desired,see Test Method D2371and Test Method D2698.5.1 Mix the sample until it is homogeneous,preferably on amechanical shaker.5.2 Centrifuge about 20 mL of the whole paint on ahigh-speed centrifuge in excess of 10 000 g(Note 1)for 30min or until separation i
9、s completed.If difficulty isencountered,add 10 mL of a suitable solvent(Note 3).Mixwith the vehicle layer in the centrifuge tube and centrifuge asbefore.Pour off the supernatant liquid into a bottle and stopperunder nitrogen for further use.NOTE3If quantitative work must be done on the vehicle,the w
