16、26.Sampling6.1 Samples from bulk shipments shall be taken in accor-dance with Practice D 140,and shall be free of foreignsubstances.Thoroughly mix the sample before withdrawing arepresentative portion for the determination or for dehydration.6.2 Hard PitchIf the solid sample contains free water,air-dry a representative portion.6.3 Soft PitchIf the presence of water is indicated bysurface foam on heating,maintain a representative portion at atemperature between 125 and 150C in an open container u
