3、em.It is not the function of this specifi-cation to provide specific engineering data for design purposes,to specify manufacturing tolerances,or to determine suitabilityfor use for a specific application.1.1.1 Some plastic pipe and fitting PE compounds classifiedby this standard are sold as a base m

4、aterial and then combinedwith other material(s)(for example,color or additive concen-trate)by the pipe or fitting manufacturer into a final classifiedcompound either prior to or during production of the finalarticle.This standard,excluding the requirements of Table 1,properties 5 and 6,and 6.1.1,can

5、 be used for propertyverification of the incoming base material(s)in accordancewith 8.1.1.1.2 In the case of PE compounds sold as the compoundclassified by the standard,see 8.1 regarding property verifica-tion of the incoming classified compound.1.1.3 Compounds with a cell classification value other

6、 than0for the Hydrostatic Strength Classification(property 6)relyon a defined formulation.The composition of the definedformulation can be obtained from the owner of the formulation.NOTE1Deviations from the defined formulation may affect theHydrostatic Strength Classification.1.2 Polyethylene plasti

7、c materials,being thermoplastic,arereprocessable and recyclable(Note 3).This specification al-lows for the use of those polyethylene materials,provided thatall specific requirements of this specification are met.NOTE2The notes in this specification are for information only andshall not be considered
