13、e4.1 Steelmaking PracticeThe steel shall be killed andshall conform to the fine austenitic grain size requirements ofSpecification A 20/A 20M.5.Heat Treatment5.1 Except as allowed by 5.2,all plates shall be normalizedat 1950 to 2050F 1065 to 1120C and then tempered at 1290to 1400F 700 to 760C.5.2 Pl
14、ates ordered without the heat treatment required by5.1 shall be furnished in either the stress-relieved or annealedcondition,and the purchaser shall be responsible for the heattreatment of such plates to conform to 5.1.6.Chemical Composition6.1 The steel shall conform to the requirements for chemica
