3、etal insert fittings with splitring and compression nut(compression joint)and metal insertfittings with copper crimp rings(crimp joint)for four sizes ofcomposite pressure pipe.These fittings are intended for use in125 psi(690 kPa)cold-and hot-water distribution systemsoperating at temperatures up to
4、 and including 180F(82C).(When used in polyethylene/aluminum/polyethylene systemsthe maximum operating temperature is limited by the pipe to140F(60C)and where applicable 180F(82C).Includedare the requirements for materials,workmanship,burstpressure,sustained pressure,excessive temperature andpressur
5、e,temperature cycling tests,and markings to be used onthe fittings and rings.The fittings covered by this specificationare intended for use in potable water distribution systems forresidential and commercial applications,water service,under-ground irrigation systems,and radient panel heating systems
