16、in atomic absorption spectroscopy went largely un-noticed in the West until about 1965.Many variants of this original concept were then explored,with the Massmann-type and the West-type flameless device being perhaps the most noteworthy versions.With the commercialization of these developments,the techniques now available to the analytical chemist greatly enhance the attractiveness of flameless atomic absorption spectroscopy.A symposium was consequently organized to update the interested members
