5、t coverevery clause in BS EN 81-28,as many requirements are covered by the alarm systems manufacturerand the installers quality control procedures or are to be verified by the building designer.This part of BS 8486 covers the tests in BS EN 81-28:2018,Clause 6,as well as tests that do not fallwithin
6、 the alarm systems manufacturer and the installers quality control system.This part of BS 8486 does not cover other issues that are part of the installers quality assurancesystem such as calibration of mechanical and electrical test equipment used in the specified tests(e.g.stop watches/chronometers

9、 be entrusted to appropriately qualified and experienced people,for whose use it hasbeen produced.Particular attention is drawn to the recommendations for safe working practices provided in BS 7255.Whilst BS 7255 was written to cover the hazards which can be encountered when a lift is undergoingregu
10、lar maintenance,much of its content is equally applicable to the hazards found during thetesting process.BSI permits the reproduction of the tables in this part of BS 8486.This reproduction is only permittedwhere it is necessary for the user to record findings on the tables during each application o
11、fthe standard.It is assumed that manufacturers and installers will customize these tables to suit their productrange,if necessary by adding or removing questions which are not relevant to the lift to be tested.The following documents are required for the examination and tests to be carried out:insta
12、llation and test instructions;general arrangement drawings;electrical schematic drawings;copies of test certificates(including Type Examination Certificates and details to allow safetycomponent verification);andNotified Body approvals(if applicable)such as Type Examination Certificates and DesignExa
