In1776,JohnAdamspredictedtohiswife,Abigail,thatAmericasIndependenceDaywouldbecelebratedbysucceedinggenerationsasthegreatanniversaryfestival.Hewrotethatthisanniversaryshouldbecommemoratedwithpompandparade,withshows,
3、games,sports,bells,bonfires,andilluminationsfromoneendofthiscontinenttotheother,fromthistimeforward,forevermore. Sincethen,generationsofAmericanshavedonejustthat.EachyearwelookforwardtothefamilygatheringsandthegrandcelebrationsthattakeplaceacrosstheNationonthe4thofJuly.Andamidthemusicandbarbequesand
4、fireworks,wegivethanksforourfreedom,andwehonorthebraveryandsacrificesofallthosewhohavemadethatfreedompossible. OnIndependenceDay,werecallthecourageandhighidealsofourNationsfounders,whowagedadesperatefighttoovercometyrannyandliveinfreedom.Recentyearshavebroughtarenewedinterestinthelivesandachievement
