9、itted.Uncontrolled when printed.ASME A17.1a2005Following approval by the ASME A17 Elevator and Escalator Committee,and after public review,ASME A17.1a2005 was approved by the American National Standards Institute on March 18,2005.This is the first Addenda to the 2004 edition of the Code.It was issue

10、d on April 29,2005 and iseffective as of October 29,2005.The pages included in this Addenda replace the pages in ASME A17.12004 that have thecorresponding page numbers.Where the length of the change necessitated the inclusion ofadditional pages,the additional pages are numbered sequentially followin

11、g a decimal point(e.g.,page 10.1 should be inserted following page 10).Revisions are incorporated directly into theaffected pages.It is advisable,however,that this page,the Addenda title and copyright pages,and all replaced pages be retained for reference.SUMMARY OF CHANGESRevisions being made in th

12、is Addenda are identified by a margin note,(05a).Changes made tocorrect errors in A17.12004,as well as other new editorial changes,are identified by(ED).Revision designators will remain on the pages up to the publication of the next edition of theCode.The(ED)designators will appear only when the edi
