3、American National Standards Committee B107.Socket Wrenches and Drives,under sponsor-ship of The American Society of Mechanical Engineers,was reorganized as an ASMEStandards Committee and its title was changed to Hand Tools and Accessories.In 1996.the B173 Committee merged with the B107 Committee and
4、 the B107 Committee scopewas expanded to inciude safety considerations.The purposes of this Standard are to define essential safety considerations specificallyapplicable to bricklayershammers and prospecting picks,to specify test methods to evaluateperformance relating to the defined satety consider
5、ations,and to indicate limitations of safe use.A principal change in this edition of the Standard is the accepted use of pictorial safetymessages.The format of this Standard is in accordance with A Guide to Writing ASME Codesand Standards.Requests for interpretations of the technical requirements of
