10、urement specifications.These standards will also be useful for response to suchspecifications.The B133 standards provide essential information for the procurement of gas turbinepower plants.They apply to open cycle,closed cycle,and semiclosed cycle gas turbineswith conventional combustion systems fo
11、r industrial,marine,and electric power applications.Auxiliaries needed for proper operation are covered.Not included are gas turbines appliedto earth-moving machines,agricultural and industrial type tractors,automobiles,trucks,buses,and aero-propulsion units.For gas turbines using unconventional or
12、special heat sources(such as chemical processes,nuclear reactors,or furnaces for supercharged boilers),these standards may be used as abasis,but appropriate modifications may be necessary.ASME B133.16 is intended to aid the equipment builder,purchaser,and operator incoordinating efforts toward satis
13、factory performance of gas turbine prime movers used inmarine applications.This Standard summarizes needs that have been demonstrated in practiceof necessity;they are generalized because of variations in equipment,practices,and localconditions.ASME B133.16-2000 was approved by the B133 Standards Com
