15、ing the issuance of this document,the need for standards more comprehensive than head config-urationsbecameapparent.AtameetingheldonApril14,1942,Subcommittee32wasreorganizedandexpanded,andthefollowing operating scope was established.The scope of Subcommittee 32shall consist of the development and pr
16、omulgation of American Standards embracingscrew products variously known as machine screws,wood screws,tapping screws,slotted head cap screws,slottedheadless set screws,and machine screw nuts.The standards shall comprise complete product standards covering alldimensions and tolerances required for the specification and production of the products.Details shall include suchboundarydimensionsasnutwidthandthickness;screwheaddimensions;slotandrecessdimensions;bodydimensions;thread classification or t
