5、is standard was developed by the Standard Committee of the Cemented Carbide Producers Association in cooperation with the Solid Carbide Tool Institute.The dimensional listings together with tolerances and nomenclature have been de-veloped after a thorough investigation of ail factors involved in the
6、 field of blanks for carbide burs.The original draft of the material was prepared by the Solid Carbide Tool Institute and submitted to the Cemented Carbide Producers Association for review and comment.The final draft as represented by the material contained in this standard was reviewed by both orga
7、nizations and by all interested parties and was revised to incorporate the changes suggested.On January 20,1959,the Cemented Carbide Producers Association submitted the final draft of the standard to ASA for approval under the Existing Standards Method.Ac-cordingly,a canvass of industry was made to
8、meet the requirement that evidence be shown that the standard is acceptable to those groups substantially concerned with its technical con-tent.The proposal was approved as an American Standard on October 23,1962.Meanwhile in 1962,a new Sectional Committee B94 Standardization of Cutting Tools,Holder
9、s,Drivers and Bushings was formed(later changed to USA Standards Committee)and the work on this standard was assigned to Technical Committee 1 of USA Standards Com-mittee B94.The revised standard was approved by USA Standards Committee B94 and its sponsor ASME on November 2,1967.The revision was app
