1、Designation:E152293(Reapproved 2013)Standard Specification forAutoclavable Protective Coatings on Laboratory Glassware1This standard is issued under the fixed designation E1522;the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or,in the case of revision, the year

2、 of last revision.A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval.Asuperscript epsilon()indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1.Scope1.1 This specification covers the requirements for autocla-vable protective coatings on laboratory glassware up to andinclu

3、ding the 4L size. These coatings will not prevent theescape of liquids from vessels under pressure.2.Chemical Resistance2.1 The physical resistance(see 3.1)of the coating shall beacceptable after continuous exposure for one hour to acids,(other than chromic),alcohols, bases, aliphatic hydrocarbons(exce

4、pt as noted below)and oxidizing agents at room tempera-ture.The intent of the coating is to allow enough time afterbreakage for proper disposal, not for continued use.2.2 The coating shall not be required to withstand exposureto aldehydes, esters, aromatic hydrocarbons, halogenated hy-drocarbons or keto
