3、g and computerized systems)ac-tively used in the psychophysiological detection of deception(verification of truth).As a minimum,such instrumentationshall simultaneously record an individuals respiratory,exoso-matic electrodermal,and cardiovascular activity.1.2 Analog polygraphs shall be calibrated b
4、y the psycho-physiological detection of deception(PDD)examiner,manufacturer,or factory-authorized individual.1.3 Computerized instrumentation shall be calibrated by themanufacturer or factory-authorized individual.1.4 The PDD examiner or factory-authorized individualshall perform functionality check
5、s to ensure instrumentation isoperating properly.1.5 This practice does not prohibit additional componentswhich may be offered as supplemental measurements ofphysiological change.Additional recording components(suchas movement sensors)may be used in addition to,but notreplace,the required minimum co

9、mentation5.1 A recorded chart shall be created demonstrating correctfunctioning of the instrument.This chart will be maintained fora minimum period of one year.5.1.1 This chart shall contain the following information,asapplicable:name of person performing calibration or function-ality check,time and
10、 date,location,manufacturer,model,andinstrument identification.5.1.2 All notations,settings,and adjustments shall beclearly and permanently noted on the chart(either marked byhand or,in the case of computerized instrumentation,electroni-cally recorded).5.1.3 All calibration and functionality checks
11、shall be con-ducted in accordance with the manufacturers specifications.6.Calibration Check(Analog Instruments)6.1 Calibration or functionality checks shall be conducted inaccordance with the manufacturers specifications.6.2 At any time a malfunction is identified,the instrumentshall not be used to
12、conduct a PDD examination until thatmalfunction has been corrected as demonstrated by an addi-tional calibration or functionality check.6.3 A record in the form of a calibration or functionalitychart shall be kept identifying the time and date,instrumentidentification,and who conducted the calibrati
