1、Designation:D836822aStandard Test Method forDetermination of Totals of Aromatic,Polyaromatic and FattyAcid Methyl Esters(FAME)Content of Diesel Fuel UsingGas Chromatography with Vacuum Ultraviolet AbsorptionSpectroscopy Detection(GC-VUV)1This standard is issued under the fixed designation D8368;the
2、number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or,in the case of revision, the year of last revision.A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval.Asuperscript epsilon()indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1.Scope*1.1
3、 This test method covers a standard procedure for thedetermination of group type totals of aromatic, polyaromatic, and FAME content in diesel fuel using gas chromatographyand vacuum ultraviolet absorption spectroscopy detection(GC-VUV).1.1.1 Polyaromatic totals are the result of the summation ofdiarom
4、atic and tri-plus aromatic group types.Aromatics are thesummation of monoaromatic and polyaromatic group types.FAME content is the result of summation of individual fattyacid methyl esters.1.1.2 This test method is applicable for renewable dieselfuels from hydrotreated vegetable oil(HVO)or animal fa
