3、ic values of material properties of polymeric com-posite materials intended for use in civil engineering structuralapplications.The characteristic value is a statistically-basedmaterial property representing the 80%lower confidencebound on the 5th-percentile value of a specified population.Character

4、istic values determined using this standard practicecan be used to calculate structural member resistance values indesign codes for composite civil engineering structures and forestablishing limits upon which qualification and acceptancecriteria can be based.1.2 This standard does not purport to add
