9、se4.1 This document supplements ANSI/ISO/IEC 17011 andtogether these two documents provide the minimum require-ments for an accreditation body which accredits agenciestesting and inspecting road and paving materials.4.2 The user is cautioned that accreditation granted by anaccreditation body can onl
10、y serve a useful purpose if theprocedures followed to obtain the accreditation are practicedon a daily basis by the testing agency.It is not the existence ofthe system but the routine implementation of the proceduresand policies of the quality system that is important.5.Accreditation Body5.1 The acc
11、reditation body in developing and implementingits accreditation program shall meet the requirements inANSI/ISO/IEC 17011 and the requirements of this standard.6.Personnel6.1 The accreditation body shall document the duties,re-sponsibilities and authorities of top management who couldaffect the quali
12、ty of the accreditation process.6.2 The accreditation body shall ensure that personnel havethe necessary and proper education,experience,training,andtechnical knowledge.6.3 The accreditation body shall describe the requiredqualifications,education,and experience for each positionwithin their organiz
