2、t revision.A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval.Asuperscript epsilon()indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1.Scope1.1 This practice covers the determination of the integrity ofwater filtration membrane elements and systems using airbased tests(

3、pressure decay and vacuum hold),soluble dye,continuous monitoring particulate light scatter techniques,andTOC monitoring tests for the purpose of rejecting particles andmicrobes.The tests are applicable to systems with membranesthat have a nominal pore size less than about 1 m.The TOC,and Dye,tests

4、are generally applicable to NF and RO classmembranes only.1.2 This practice does not purport to cover all availablemethods of integrity testing.1.3 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded asstandard.No other units of measurement are included in thisstandard.1.4 This standard does not purpor

5、t to address all of thesafety concerns,if any,associated with its use.It is theresponsibility of the user of this standard to establish appro-priate safety,health,and environmental practices and deter-mine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.1.5 This international standard was d
