7、y.5.Description of Materials5.1 Type I is the commercial rosin-free grade of orangeflake shellac.Type II customarily occurs in the form of circulardisks about 76 mm(3 in.)in diameter and 3 mm(18in.)inthickness and is known to the trade as pure button lac.Type IIIis dark garnet in color and is known
8、to the trade as pure garnetlac.Garnet lac is manufactured in admixture with rosin and asa dewaxed lac.The admixture and dewaxed lac are not coveredby this specification.6.Properties6.1 The material shall conform to the requirements pre-scribed in Table 1.7.Test Methods7.1 Determine the material samp
9、led and the propertiesenumerated in this specification in accordance with TestMethods D 29 and D 411.8.Certification8.1 When specified in the purchase order or contract,aproducers or suppliers certification shall be furnished to thepurchaser that the material complies with the requirements ofthis sp
