2、ses indicates the year of lastreapproval.A superscript epsilon()indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1.Scope*1.1 This specification covers requirements and test methodsfor geotextile fabrics and associated components used intemporary silt fence applications.Table 1 is
3、a material pur-chasing specification based on AASHTO M 288.Table 2 is aspecification to be used in areas of high water flow.Thespecification in Table 2 is a higher strength, higher flow optionthan Table 1.Table 2 properties can withstand more hydraulicflow than the specification listed in Table 1.The
4、 Table 2specification should be used in sensitive applications, such asareas near regulated waters and wetlands, but also areas thatare prone to high flow runoff that require increased structuralstability. The design professional has the option of Table 2where the specifications listed in Table 1 are n

9、plications,it should be noted that an alternative siltfence specification for a higher water flow rate, listed in Table 2,may berequired by the engineers in areas that are susceptible to higher waterrunoff;using Table 2 specification will minimize safety hazards such ashydroplaning in these areas.1.5
