3、h no further pathogen reduction step.To be fit for consumption,food safety and storagequality aspects need consideration to ensure acceptable seed is used.Minimum levels of quality andsafety are defined in this specification to protect buyers and consumers from harm,address food safetyrisk where pos
4、sible,and assist business-to-business transactions.This will allow for accuratedescriptions for dehulling or oil extraction purposes or re-targeting product as necessary into variousfurther non-food processing or other uses.1.Scope1.1 This specification establishes the maximum allowableE.coli and Sa
5、lmonella microbial levels,moisture content,peroxide value(PV),free fatty acid(FFA)content,yeast andmold levels,representative heavy metals,total coliforms,foreign material,and discoloration for hempseed intended forhuman consumption.1.2 This specification applies to plant breeders,hempseedproducers,
6、seed cleaners,processors,wholesalers,regulatorybodies,and analytical laboratories.This specification does notapply to viable hemp seed intended for germination andplanting,and does not set limitations for pesticide limits,orphysical purity beyond foreign matter.See Note 1.NOTE1Additional hazard limi
