10、rms of wool,the reduction of the sample to small testspecimens,and measurement of the diameter of a number offibers from the test specimens using the Laserscan.Snippetscut from the various forms of wool are cleaned where required,and dispersed in a mixture of isopropanol and water.Thesuspension of s
11、nippets is transported through a measuring cellwhich is positioned in a beam of laser light.The reduction inintensity of the laser beam as the individual snippets passthrough the beam of light,approximately 500 m in diameter,is sensed by a detector and transformed,using a calibrationlook-up table,in
