14、.Interfaces 5.1 Classification of hard rubber products in terms of chemical,mechanical,and electrical properties is detailed in Classification D 2135.6.Sampling 6.1 The method of sampling shall be per-formed as agreed upon between customer and supplier.7.Chemical Composition 7.1 The chemical analysi
15、s of hard rubber,hard rubber compounds,or similar hard,low-elongation,vulcanized materials shall be made in accordance with the procedures described in Methods D 297.7.2 Chemical analysis in accordance with the recommended methods shall form a valid basis for categorizing a material for specificatio
16、n pur-poses.8.Meclianical Properties 8.1 Mechanical properties of hard rubber,hard rubber compounds,and similar hard,low-elongation,vulcanized materials shall be deter-mined in accordance with the following methods,modified as stated herein:NOTE i-Elaborate conditioning routines,such as those specified for come thermoplastic polymers and for lightly vulcanized soft rubber,are not necessary for hard rubber,which may be tested after conditioning only long enough to assure temperature equilibrium i
