16、e inner ring from theflexible bag.After a known interval of time,the flexible bag isremoved and weighed.The weight loss,converted to a volume,is equal to the amount of water that has infiltrated into theground.An infiltration rate is then determined from thisvolume of water,the area of the inner ring,and the interval oftime.This process is repeated and a plot of infiltration rateversus time is constructed.The test is continued until theinfiltration rate becomes steady or until it becomes equal t
