3、 andfillers in preparation for the making of test specimens used inthe laboratory evaluations of the sealants and fillers.Refer tothe specific standard material specification for samplingrequirements,test sample quantity,temperatures and times formelting and heating,and the number of specimens requi
4、red fortesting.1.2 This practice is applicable to the hot-applied joint andcrack sealants and fillers used in both portland cement andasphaltic-concrete pavements.1.3 The values stated in either SI units or inch-pound unitsare to be regarded separately as standard.The values stated ineach system may
5、 not be exact equivalents;therefore,eachsystem shall be used independently of the other.Combiningvalues from the two systems may result in nonconformancewith the standard.1.4 WarningMercury has been designated by the EPAand many state agencies as a hazardous material that can causecentral nervous sy
