9、ples when obtained from multiplesources.It provides a sample that is more representative of aproduct that may be heterogeneous in nature.Producing arepresentative sample of a material is central to the validity ofresults any testing/analytical procedure.NOTE1The quality of the result produced by thi
10、s standard isdependent on the competence of the personnel performing it,and thesuitability of the equipment and facilities used.Agencies that meet thecriteria of Practice D3740 are generally considered capable of competentand objective testing/sampling/inspection/etc.Users of this standard arecautio
