7、est methods measure the properties of rubberizedtar that determine its suitability as a road binder that is notsensitive to the spillage of fuel oil.4.Apparatus4.1 Melting Unit The unit for melting laboratory samplesshall be of the double-boiler type,employing a high flash-pointoil as the heat trans
8、fer medium.The unit shall be equipped withmechanical agitators in the materials chamber and in the oilbath;and two metal thermometers,of the recalibrating dialtype,in the range from 10 to 177C graduated in 5F(3C)subdivisions.8A melting unit suitable for the purpose is shownin Fig.1.94.2 Oven,thermos
