2、ision.A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval.Asuperscript epsilon()indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.This standard has been approved for use by agencies of the U.S.Department of Defense.1.Scope1.1 This specification covers cable in conduit(CIC

3、),whichis a smooth-walled,coilable,high-density polyethylene(HDPE)conduit(duct)that contains preassembled wires andcables.The outside diameter of the conduit is controlled andthe wire or cable encased within may be comprised of single ormultiple configurations consisting of electrical/power wires or

4、cables,fiber optic,traditional copper communication,coaxialcable,or any combination thereof.CIC configurations arepreassembled into the conduit during the extrusion process andin industry-specific designs for use in commercial,industrial,transportation,government,and utility applications1.2 This spe

5、cification does not attempt to identify everypossible preassembled conduit/cable configuration but is in-tended to identify material and minimum assembled productproperties for optimizing reliability and service life.1.3 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regardedas standard.The values

6、given in parentheses are mathematicalconversions to SI units that are provided for information onlyand are not considered standard.NOTE1Whenever two sets of values are presented,in different units,the imperial units are the standard,while those in the parentheses(metricunites)are provided for inform
