10、nducting research on the polish susceptibility of stone usedin pavements or on the friction properties of pavement sur-faces.In addition,some agencies utilize the test for acceptancepurposes to delineate carbonate aggregates that polish exces-sively and become slippery and those that will not.NOTE1T
