2、n the case of revision,the year of last revision.A number in parentheses indicates the year of lastreapproval.A superscript epsilon()indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1.Scope*1.1 This practice covers the laboratory preparation ofchemically grouted soil specimens for

3、 use in laboratory tests todetermine engineering parameters.NOTE1This practice may not be applicable to grout mixtures with geltimes shorter than the time required to saturate the specimen with grout.1.2 The specimens are intended for both strength andmodulus determination in unconfined and confined

4、 compres-sion testing.NOTE2Preparation methods for specimens to be used for otherpurposes are described in Test Methods D4219 and D5202.1.3 This practice requires the injection of grout into soilspecimens already fabricated to a desired density.1.4 All observed and calculated values shall conform to

5、 theguidelines for significant digits and rounding established inPractice D6026.1.4.1 The method used to specify how data are collected,calculated,or recorded in this standard is not directly related tothe accuracy to which the data can be applied in design or otheruses,or both.How one applies the r

6、esults obtained using thisstandard is beyond its scope.1.5 The values stated in either SI units or inch-pound unitspresented in brackets are to be regarded separately asstandard.The values stated in each system may not be exactequivalents;therefore,each system shall be used independentlyof the other

7、.Combining values from the two systems mayresult in non-conformance with the standard.1.5.1 The gravitational system of inch-pound units is usedwhen dealing with inch-pound units.In this system,the pound(lbf)represents a unit of force(weight),while the unit for massis slugs.The slug unit is not give

8、n,unless dynamic(F=ma)calculations are involved.1.6 This practice offers a set of instructions for performingone or more specific operations.This document cannot replaceeducation or experience and should be used in conjunction withprofessional judgment.Not all aspects of this practice may beapplicab
