8、colors,designs,and finishes.3.1.1.1 DiscussionTraditionally,denim is made with in-digo blue dyed cotton warp and undyed or tinted filling.Denimfabrics are used for many types of garments including workclothes,sportswear,dresswear,and home furnishings.3.2 Definitions of Terms Specific to This Standar
9、d:3.2.1 jeans,na style of trousers made of a twill fabric usedas sportswear and work clothing.3.2.2 dungaree,ntrousers made from denim and designedfor general heavy work wear.3.2.3 trouser,na garment that closes at the waist andcovers the lower body to the crotch and each leg from the waistto the an

11、ation requirements inTable 1.5.Significance and Use5.1 This specification serves as a guide for the purchase ofzippers to be used for dungarees,jeans,or work trousers.5.2 Upon agreement between the purchaser and the supplier,zippers intended for this end-use should meet all of therequirements listed
