2、heses indicates the year of last reapproval.Asuperscript epsilon()indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1.Scope1.1 The thermophysical property tables for ethane are foruse in the calculation of the pressure-volume-temperature(PVT),thermodynamic,and transport properties

3、of ethane forprocess design and operations.Tables are provided for gaseousand liquid ethane at temperatures between 92 and 600 K atpressures to 20 MPa.Two tables provide properties at theconditions of liquid-vapor equilibrium(saturation properties).A third table provides properties at selected T,p p

4、oints for theequilibrium phase at those conditions.The tables were devel-oped by the National Institute of Standards and Technologyfrom Standard Reference Database 23,REFPROP,version10.0.1.2 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded asstandard.No other units of measurement are included in thi

5、sstandard.1.3 This international standard was developed in accor-dance with internationally recognized principles on standard-ization established in the Decision on Principles for theDevelopment of International Standards,Guides and Recom-mendations issued by the World Trade Organization TechnicalBa

6、rriers to Trade(TBT)Committee.2.Applicability2.1 These tables apply directly only to pure gaseous ethane.However,it is expected that they may find substantial use inmathematical models and tables for the thermophysical prop-erties of mixtures containing ethane.3.Tables3.1 These tables were produced

7、by equations from a com-puter package,“NIST Standard Reference Database 23;Ref-erence Fluid Thermodynamic and Transport Properties Data-base(REFPROP):Version 10.0.”A wide selection of units(SIunits,engineering units,chemical units)and additional prop-erties are available with this program.23.2 These

11、ation4.1 Reference state properties are required to calculatecertain of the thermodynamic properties(enthalpy,entropy,etc.)from an equation of state formulation.The reference stateproperties used to generate the tables in this specification are:enthalpy,H,and entropy,S,at the Normal Boiling Point;18
