3、 of last reapproval.A superscript epsilon(E)indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1.Scope 1.1 This specification covers reinforced ole-fin polymers suitable for injection molding or extrusion.Polymers consist of propylene ho-mopolymers,ethylene homopolymers,or co-polyme
4、rs of either,to which have been added various other materials or combinations of ma-terials to serve as reinforcements from the group including glass fibers,talc,and asbestos.1.2 This specification provides for the divi-sion of reinforced materials into groups based on physical properties.The proper
5、ties used are tensile strength,flexural modulus,Izod impact strength,and deflection temperature under load.NOTE 1-The properties included in this specifi-cation are those required to identify the types and grades of materials covered.There may be other requirements necessary to identify particular c

9、ed made up of four digits using the cell numbers for each charac-teristic in the order in which they appear in Table 1.NOTE 2-.4n example of this classification system is as follows:The designation 5667 would indicate the following characteristics:Tensile strength,min 532 kgf/cm2(7.6 X lo3 psi)Flexu

15、the purchaser and the selier.5.Detail Requirements 5.1 The test specimens molded in accord-ance with Section 7 shall conform to the re-quirements listed in Table 1.5.2 Resins may be selected from the follow-ing types:propylene homopolymers,ethylene homopolymers,or copolymers of either.5.3 The concen
16、tration of the glass fibers shall be within a tolerance of+2%of the specified nominal value.The tolerance for other fillers and the test methods shall be agreed upon between the purchaser and the seller.Content is to be expressed as weight%of the total composition.6.Sampling 6.1 Unless otherwise agreed between the purchaser and the selier,the material shall be sampled in accordance with the procedure de-scribed in Sections 9 through 12 of Recom-mended Practice D 1898.Adequate statistical samplin
