3、pregnated tovarying degrees with asphalt intended to be used with asphaltsconforming to the requirements of Specifications D312/D312M or D7654/D7654M in the construction of built-uproofs,and with asphalts conforming to the requirements ofSpecification D449/D449M in the construction of waterproof-ing

9、 specification.5.Materials and Manufacture5.1 The felt shall be a thin,porous sheet of uniformlydistributed glass fibers,with or without the addition of rein-forcing stranded glass yarns,and bonded with a water-resistantresinous binder.5.2 In the process of manufacture,the felt shall be impreg-nated
10、 with asphalt which shall be permitted to contain amineral stabilizer so that the individual glass fibers are coatedand the asphalt is evenly distributed throughout.5.3 The impregnated glass felt shall be surfaced with amaterial to prevent sticking in the roll.The nature and quantityof the surfacing
