1、Designation:D233998(Reapproved 2011)Standard Test Method forStrength Properties of Adhesives in Two-Ply WoodConstruction in Shear by Tension Loading1This standard is issued under the fixed designation D2339;the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or,in

2、 the case of revision, the year of last revision.A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval.Asuperscript epsilon()indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.INTRODUCTIONThe accuracy of the results of strength tests of adhesive bonds depends on the condition

3、s underwhich the bonding process is carried out.Unless otherwise agreed upon between the manufacturer andthe purchaser, the bonding conditions shall be prescribed by the manufacturer of the adhesive. In orderto ensure that complete information is available to the individual conducting the tests, theman

4、ufacturer of the adhesive shall furnish numerical values and other specific information for each ofthe following variables:(1)The moisture content of the wood at the time of bonding.(2)Complete mixing directions for the adhesive.(3)Conditions for application of the adhesive including the rate of spr
