9、 identification of threetypes of allyl molding compounds,based on the general type offiller employed in their manufacture,which shall be distin-guished by the requirements prescribed in Table 1.Type IHigh-strength materials,glass-fiber reinforced.Type IIGeneral-purpose mineral filled.Type IIIGeneral
10、-purpose synthetic fiber filler.4.2 Types I and II may be subdivided into four classesaccording to resin composition and use as follows:Class ADiallyl ortho-phthalate resin,nonflame-retardant.Class BDiallyl ortho-phthalate resin,flame-retardant.Class CDiallyl meta-phthalate resin nonflame-retardant.
11、Class DDiallyl meta-phthalate resin,flame-retardant.4.3 The four classes of Type I are subdivided as follows:ClassesA,B,C,and D into four grades.For Type II each of thefour classes is subdivided into two grades.For Type III onlyClass A compounds are produced and are available in threegrades.5.Genera
12、l Requirements5.1 The molding compound shall be of uniform compositionand so compounded as to conform to the requirements of thisspecification.5.2 Although other than allyl resin may be added for flameresistance and other purposes,the major part of the resinportion shall be diallyl ortho-phthalate o
