8、ishes a uniform procedure for preparing concreteblocks for the testing of sealants.It is not intended to establishtest procedures or conditions of test which are associated witheach of the joint sealants.4.Standard Conditions4.1 The laboratory atmospheric conditions,hereinafter re-ferred to as stand
9、ard conditions,shall be in accordance withPractice E171/E171M(23 6 2 C(73.4 6 3.6 F)and 50%65%relative humidity).5.Concrete Block Preparation35.1 MaterialsThe aggregate shall conform to Specifica-tion C33/C33M,except as specified herein.The aggregategrading shall be as shown in Table 1.The coarse ag
10、gregateshall consist of crushed limestone(plus 95%CaCO3)having awater absorption of not more than 1.5%.The fine aggregateshall consist of crushed limestone and shall be manufacturedfrom the same parent rock as the coarse aggregate.4Theportland cement shall conform to ASTM Specification C150/C150M,Ty
11、pe II.The concrete shall have a water-cement ratioof 0.49,a cement factor of 335 6 30 kg/m3(6.0 6 0.5 bags ofcement per cubic yard),and a slump of 63 6 13 mm(212612in.).The ratio of fine aggregate to total aggregate shall beapproximately 40%by solid volume.The air content shall be5.0 6 0.5%and shall
