7、e shall be thoroughly representative of thematerial in question,and the portion used for the test shall bethoroughly representative of the sample itself.6.Procedure6.1 Measure 100 mLof the water-emulsion wax into each oftwo centrifuge tubes and stopper the tubes.Balance the twotubes in their holders
8、.6.2 Place the two tubes on opposite sides of the head andwhirl for 10 min at a rate,calculated from the equation inParagraph 5.1.5 under Centrifuge of Test Method D1796,sufficient to produce a relative centrifugal force(rcf)ofbetween 500 and 700 at the tips of the whirling tubes(see Table2,Rotation
9、 Speeds Applicable for Centrifuges of VariousDiameters of Swing,of Test Method D1796 for relationshipbetween diameter of swing,rcf,and rpm).6.3 Read the volume of sediment in each tube,estimating tothe nearest 0.1 mL if necessary.Record the average of the tworeadings as the percentage of sediment by
10、 the centrifugemethod.7.Precision and Bias7.1 PrecisionInterlaboratory and intralaboratory duplicatedeterminations of sediment by this test method should notdiffer by more than 0.2 mL.7.2 BiasThis test method has no bias because the resultsdeveloped are defined in terms of this test method.8.Keyword
