3、 editorially added in November 2003.1.Scope1.1 This specification covers acrylonitrile-butadienestyrene(ABS)pipe produced by single extrusion or simultaneousmultiple coextrusion,in Schedule 40 and 80 sizes and pressure-rated for water(see Appendix).Included are criteria forclassifying ABS plastic pi
4、pe materials and ABS plastic pipe,asystem of nomenclature forABS plastic pipe,and requirementsand test methods for materials,workmanship,dimensions,sustained pressure,burst pressure,and extrusion quality.Meth-ods of marking are also given.1.2 The products covered by this specification are intendedfo
5、r use with the distribution of pressurized liquids only,whichare chemically compatible with the piping materials.Due toinherent hazards associated with testing components and sys-tems with compressed air or other compressed gases somemanufacturers do not allow pneumatic testing of their products.Con
