3、r-bon type known as askarels,which are used as an electricalinsulating and cooling medium in capacitors.This specificationincludes liquids that were previously available and are still inuse in apparatus.1.2 Insulation systems incorporating these askarels andcellulosic or other organic materials may,
4、when arced,producegaseous mixtures that are moderately flammable.1.3 Askarels covered by this specification are of four typesas follows:1.3.1 Type ABiphenyl that has been chlorinated to acontent of 42 weight%.1.3.2 Type BBiphenyl that has been chlorinated to achlorine content of 54 weight%.1.3.3 Typ
5、e CA mixture of approximately 75%Type D2233 B and 25%trichlorobenzene.1.3.4 Type DThe same as Type A,except that the higherboiling homologs have been removed to a maximum level of0.4%.NOTE1These statements are merely descriptions of the materialscurrently in common use and are not intended as part o
