3、 elastomeric cellularmaterials of a firm grade that are manufactured in preformedshapes for use as gaskets and for use as sealing materials,in theform of compression seals or gaskets,or both,for glazing otherbuilding joint applications.NOTE1For softer cellular elastomeric materials used in secondary

11、ling material.4.Materials and Manufacture4.1 Elastomeric cellular materials furnished to this specifi-cation shall be manufactured from natural rubber,syntheticrubber,rubber-like materials,or mixtures of these,with addedcompounding ingredients of such nature and quality that,withproper curing,the fi
12、nished product will comply with thisspecification.4.2 The cured compounds shall be suitable for use whereresistance to sunlight,weathering,oxidation,and permanentdeformation under load are of prime importance.4.3 The manufacturing process shall be such to ensure ahomogeneous cellular material free o
